Firewater Paintings: The 'firewater collection' change dramatically with the light.  In bright light there is magnetic contrast of cobalt on crimson, and in darker corners the firey warmth of oranges and golds reach out through the darkness like flickering flames. This light change is even more noticeable with any paintings containing gold paint.  Below is an example of the colour changes observed in different light conditions...

" This painting style was inspired by the famous colourist Hugh Murdoch www.hughmurdoch.com , with whom I was privilaged to be invited to paint... Hugh, you are the most inspiring artist that I have ever met and I miss you constantly."
